Omschrijving
UPDATE CORONA : GOOD MORNING DEAR FRIENDS-FRIENDS It is a pleasure to be able to communicate to you what has happened in this time of pandemic since March 2020 It was really a very strong and rare event for us to experience confinements, restrictions, use of a mask, removal, disinfection, prohibitions etc. Really to say of the boys, parents, until now they do not understand the reason for all this, That of this new normal, greeting you from afar, not being able to approach your friends, acquaintances, not being able to enter if they do not take your temperature, using alcohol at all times, disinfecting yourself, etc. And very hard for the children and families cared for by the foundation, since where they live are narrow, uncomfortable, single-family places, where several members of the families are accommodated. if it becomes more complex, more difficult, more stressful. This has been a challenge and really a big problem, a new situation that they have had to learn and get used to a lot more. Now economically, if it has been much stronger not being able to sell their vegetables, their caramels, sweets, etc, since their informality at work did hit them, very, very hard. Suffering layoffs, since there was no where to work, when premises were closed, construction work suspended, etc., this was much worse. The boys by not attending classes, receiving classes presenciles, if it was very difficult, because the new sense of online class, if they took them and they took us again and with big problems like. Not knowing the form and the online process, the lack of computers, the lack of the internet, etc., all this complicated more and more, Hunger, lack of resources, not having food, if it threatened, a very big problem would come with these boys. And their families. But thanks to you friends, so many unpleasant situations could be avoided. The boys were treated since March and we have not stopped at any time WE DID: • Visit families, to inform them about the pandemic, covid, 19, confinement, restriction, etc. • Facilitate and teach correct use of masks, • Delivery of a food kit, two deliveries to their homes for what we had to do, to go directly to each family's home thanks to the donation and help of the funds we received. • To date we have delivered 7 food kits to 120 families, which includes approximately 500 people. (each family has received 7 kits in total) • With each child, carry out a school support plan, so that they do not drop out and guide them on the online sitesma, that they were unaware of it, support with the sending of works, and contact with teachers. This was the 2019-2020 school year, achieving that 85% of the students pass, 15% moved to their provinces of origin and we have not been able to know about some of them, since they are from places a little far from the city. • The pandemic began in March in Ecuador, but we did not stop for a single day. Thanks to the fact that I got a pass, I was able to mobilize and help these children and their families, • In June, we reopened the dining room and the boys were able to come in turns to have lunch and finish their work, and to be able to present educational portfolios and thus approve the 2019-2020 school year. The total number of boys who came in shifts was 60. • After determining the school year, a pedagogical vacation was held to help recover the knowledge not acquired. 2020-2021 school year • In September they helped to make the new entrance to the new school year, • It was found that 200 students entered from kindergarten to 3rd year of high school. • The support, reinforcement and pedagogical recovery service continued for 50 boys who requested this support. • The food service was continued for 70 boys who come in three shifts to receive this service. • It helped to get up-to-date on homework for the kids who, due to lack of computers and internet, were not sending their homework. To their teachers and tutors. • The zoom system was opened for the children to receive classes online, for which with the financial support 10 computers received as donations were enabled • At the end of the 2020-2021 school year in June, we have seen that 90% have already approved this school year, 10% are still in the process of doing so. • In this month of July and August we are with a new pedagogic vacation, to reinforce some school gaps • Educators will leave vacations for 15 days and will return to receive promotions, of the school year, develop educational agreements and lists of those who could be supported this school year 2021-2022 ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES. • We have an operating license up to date • 2021 permit for firefighters, • payment of property tax up to date • Up to date in taxation. (White card) • Payment of salaries and bonuses per day, (pending the August bonus, it must be paid until August 15) • Holidays granted to educators. • All educators vaccinated with both doses. • Clean and tidy facilities We hope to continue supporting this work, for which your help is vital, on our part the commitment is firm, and we assume this work with great affection, seriousness, responsibility. I am very grateful to all of you. Mario
